Recipes from Wellesbourne Allotmenteers

This page is for allotmenteers to share successful and tasty recipes they have either used for ages or recently found in the press, books or on other websites (original sources will be named where known).  All are orientated around either food we grow, else forage locally.  None are difficult and range from main courses, to chutneys to beverages.

Recipes are entered as links to webpages, or as attachments for you to save to your computer/tablet/smartphone or to print directly.  Clicking the links should automatically open the appropriate page/progrom on your device (....if you have them installed!  You need Adobe Acrobat to read PDFs and either MS Word or an OpenOffice application for the Word documents).

Enjoy and good cooking!

Submit your recipes for inclusion here by emailing recipes@wellesbourneallotments.co.uk

A Short Collection of Gooseberry Recipes

Tried for the first time in 2013 by an allotmenteer, but the initial tastings suggest the Spiced Chutney and the National Trust jam are winners.  Reduce the salt in the Gooseberry & Ginger chutney though!  And reduce the liquid contents if you are scaling up otherwise you too will have a long, long reduction time on the stove.
